Pros

They offer massages and facials.

Cons

TERRIBLE business. Worst business I've ever worked for. Late paychecks that show in the bank that they will likely NOT be paid. Horrible management....new management is hired every few months for different locations. They sell products with terrible ingredients that should never be applied to the skin. Management encourages front desk to ask customers to tip their techs......the techs getting paid is all they care about. About a third of corporate is related to the CEO.....they steal money from their employees. Spa Sydell has filed bankrupt as well. The computer systems shut down every month, I believe on purpose, so that employees can't clock in. When that happens they make employees write down the time they arrived on paper and I think that's when corporate has their chance to steal money from their employees by not paying them correctly. The CEO REINA BERMUDEZ and HER FAMILY all work at corporate and they STEAL MONEY FROM HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES. Directors get paid before the rest of the employees do!!! They also changed bi-weekly payments to weekly without informing employees. Paychecks are always SHORT or BOUNCE. I would NEVER recommend anyone to work here.....not even a homeless person because they WILL be taken ADVANTAGE OF!!!!

Pros

The company has no Pros. They are Pros to lying, manipulation, and playing with people's lives. The technicians, housekeeping and front desk are good people and deserve better.

Cons

Don't be fooled by the false positive reviews. As we were told by management to make them up. They place very little value on the front desk, and housekeepers. The technicians are treated as people who are beneath anyone at corporate. Directors were asked to pick and choose who were going to get paid and even then we had stickers on our envelopes instructing us when we could go to the bank. If the bank told us they couldn't cash the check, we were told to go to a check cashing place even though there was no money in the bank account. Blame was placed on the front desk for not selling, on the technicians for not opening their books and the directors for not managing. People walked out because they were not getting paid and they would be punished by not getting their pay checks on time and being placed last in line. They were threatened to have to go to Corporate to get their check instead of picking up their check at their locations if they didn't give 2 weeks notice. Peoples lives, families and credit scores have been affected by the pay situation and made to feel that they are to blame.... This is wrong on many levels. Trying to contact someone at corporate is impossible. People who have left the company are still waiting for answers to their questions. There is no product to do services because there is no money. My director would pay from her own money to get product for her technicians to do services and she still got blamed for things that were out of her control. The front desk commission structure is a joke because you must maintain a certain level of sales per hour in order to "qualify" for a bonus. No one bonuses because by more hours a person work, the sales per hour goes down and if every technician leaves at 4:30 that day and you worked until 8 or 9 pm, there are no sales to be made and it's a ghost town at all of the locations. We were told that an investor was coming and take us out of this financial situation and to hold on until January! But what they didn't say was that if an investor does come in, the investor can fire the entire team with no notice. At no point in these meetings, did they guarantee job security for those who stayed. Yet, another way of manipulating the staff to stay. Open your eyes to the truth that has been said silently from your fellow co-workers and even the people that work at corporate and that has been broadcasted in the media. Yes, Spa Sydell does paid but the mortgage companies are not going to wait for someone to cash their checks late because there is no money in the account. The daycare centers, the electric company, hungry children waiting for their meals cannot wait until Tuesday to deposit or Wednesday to cash when the check was given out on the Friday before. Unfortunately some families have to live paycheck to paycheck and cannot wait for a check that represents hours worked 4 weeks behind.

Pros

The good people that work AT the spa.

Cons

Everything about coorporate. Fake reviews, dishonest, greedy CEO. Late pay ALL the time. Google it. Very cheap almost everything is bought at the dollar tree. This is NOT a luxury spa. Pressure to sell products we don't even have. Angry customers. Often forced to use "recycled" micro derm crystals that have been on other peoples skin. Just over all very very toxic enviornment.
