Pros

The company provides the opportunity to contribute to a team that matters, and all ideas are welcomed and evaluated.

Cons

Engineering department indoctrination training is non-existent. Also, new systems implementation is horrible. They need to get experts on the systems and provide training to improve efficiency.

Pros

Every other Friday off. Decent health benefits.

Cons

Weak Supply Chain Leadership. No team cohesiveness between departments. Lackadaisical approach to Compliance (to only give the impression of doing it cosmetically). Little to no training. Toxic work environment.

Pros

Great starter job in this field. Good training. A lot of solder positions to earn experience. This is a job to start as an electronic Assembler and gain experience for a couple of years.

Cons

They pay too little for the type of labor they expect. Every where else pays more Orlando, Sanford, DeLand all offer $14+for electronic Assembler. Your only going to get 10.50 once your allowed to take the solder certification. They promise advancement and they feed you all these lies of ways to level up (more pay)with their point system but there are rules that prevent you from earning them. Like education gets you points but it has to be what Sparton pays for or you need 14 point to advance to level 2 but you still can't level up if you don't have 3 years in manufacturing. There is no room for growth they put up job positions for legalities but they already have the person they want picked (you hear rumors of who got the position before interviews finish and they really do get it) and you have to work there many years before you can be considered to move up. There is a lot of favoritism rules only applies to people that are not favored by Management.

Pros

Every other Friday off, good pay, Buyers are hybrid as a way to keep employees.

Cons

The Compliance part of this job is VERY complicated. Sparton continuously hires people in at Buyer II with no experience, and has Buyer I people training them. This is only one example of the discord the management sows. Procurement Dept has had management issues since at last 2000. Personal experience: 5 Managers and 3 Directors in less than 2 years (2022 - 2024, last manager "moved to a non-managerial roll" after reports of verbal abuse and manager position eliminated in favor of two Supervisors reporting directly to the (new) Director. One Supervisor quit within 3 months. A year later (2025) after high staff attrition, the remaining Supervisor position is being eliminated in favor of a new Manager.
