Pros

Liberal remote policy and nice office space if you go to the office. Free lunch a couple times a week.

Cons

Went downhill after a PE firm invested in the company overnight.

Pros

They have some of the most intelligent and sincere people I have ever worked with. Everyone treated each other with respect and consideration. They all had a very high standard of integrity and treated each other and the clients with loyalty and honesty. All levels of management (including CEO) were very concerned about work-life balance and making sure all employees were happy to be there. The CEO hosts great semi-annual parties and invites spouses, significant others, and children. It's by far one of the best places I've ever worked.

Cons

Long days. The expectation is at least a 9-hour day. People often do more than that, but they monitor to make sure you don't do too much more. (They don't want you to burn out.) The managers (at least mine) were not micro-managers, but because we had to report our time in 15 minute blocks, it felt that way. I felt guilty for every personal conversation because it would have to be assigned to a client's task.

Pros

Nice Office Great Solution Engineers Several C Levels had great vision.

Cons

I regret to share that my experience at SpendHQ was less than favorable, due to several concerning aspects within the company. SpendHQ, a divestment from a larger procurement consulting company, faces multiple challenges First and foremost - sales team leads, they lack experience, having never managed a team before. They micromanage and attend every call critiquing pitch if not presented in the exact manner they would. There were several times I truly felt bullied. The leads are handed out by favoritism and only team leads attend events and at times take the top deals to close and commission themselves! A particularly concerning pattern is the quarterly termination of Account Executives (AEs) without prior notice. Unfortunately, only 1-2 AEs are hitting their quotas, resulting in daily pipeline calls. The lack of marketing support is also a notable drawback. AEs are expected to engage in cold calling to C-level executives, an ineffective and non-strategic approach. AEs are to create email campaigns, with the requirement to use only management-approved verbiage, therefore limiting creativity and hinders ability to tailor outreach. Of particular concern is the unfair treatment of female AEs. The last three female AEs who were abruptly let go, have raised concerns about unequal treatment within the organization. In summary, the work environment at SpendHQ has proven to be challenging, marked by a lack of support, creativity, and strategic direction. Toxic environment, I'm sorry to say. Actions are needed to create a healthier and more inclusive workplace.
