Bad management and salaries.

Pros

Newer colleagues are respectful and team players.

Cons

Marketing department - insane amount of work to be done - everything is urgent and late - upper management is disrespectful and not very flexible - training is one of the worst I have ever seen (new employees feel lost for months) - salaries are low and not competitive at all - there's absolutely no regards for personal life: expect call/texts at any time including weekends - you are basically expected to work unpaid extra hours every week - people are exploited and once they are fed up they leave (which happens around 1 year of employment) - turnover is high for a reason - office is not well managed

Horrendous Leadership

Pros

There is a great team of hardworking employees at the Toronto office.

Cons

Leadership at the Toronto office is appalling and verbally and emotionally abusive. They constantly belittle their employees, including in front of your fellow coworkers for great lengths of time. Many intelligent, hardworking employees have been pushed to tears at the hands of upper management. The President is well aware of these issues but hasn't implemented any changes. Expect all of the drawbacks of an "entrepreneurial" environment, including no regard for work-life balance, with none of the benefits. Constant turnover which puts an even bigger strain on employees.

Toxic workplace

Pros

There are some great people in the Toronto office who work hard and are smart and friendly.

Cons

The Toronto office "leadership" created and built a toxic environment using fear, manipulation and a belittling approach. The VPs are to blame for not connecting the work to strategy, and causing confusion, rework and endless spin. Hard working people put up with the BS but are miserable and deserve better. I have witnessed crying from workplace bullying at the hands of "management".
