Poor management and outlook

Pros

- Work with some great people - Can get away with doing minimal work if you want

Cons

- Management & friends completely detached from the people actually doing the work, spend all their time at awards nights, ‘culture workshops’ and patting each other on the back. This results in an absence of leadership or direction as none of them have a clue (or seem to care) about the people or products they are managing. - Most talented and knowledgeable people are looking to leave, not a positive outlook for the company. - Bloated mid management layer. - Incoming 5 day a week in office from October. - No scope for progression and below average salary.

Pros

Capable engineering team, relatively new technologies

Cons

I don't know where the company is headed in the future, having an emotional CEO is the biggest problem. It offers no future prospects and lacks stability; there have been recent layoffs and stressful policies implemented, such as the mandate to return to the office five days a week. You could work here temporarily as a stepping stone to move on to something better, but don't plan on building a career here. Due to current policies, high-performing employees have started looking for jobs and are considering other opportunities.
