Pros

Working amongst other hardworking teachers

Cons

As a former Lead Teacher in the Juniper classroom at Springstone Montessori, I feel compelled to share my experience so that others can make informed decisions. What happens behind closed doors at this school is not what’s promised to families or staff. This institution operates like a business first and foremost—not a preschool rooted in Montessori values. The focus is on revenue, not quality education or child development. Teachers and classrooms are treated as interchangeable parts of a profit model. I experienced this firsthand when my classroom was abruptly closed—not due to enrollment or performance—but because the administration wanted to convert the space into an infant room, which they openly admitted would generate more money. Throughout my time at Springstone, I received little to no support. Despite being promised assistance, I was left to manage a full classroom on my own. The administration regularly ignored teachers’ needs, and communication was often dismissive and unprofessional. There is a clear lack of integrity in how this school is run. Teachers were even encouraged to solicit positive Yelp reviews from parents—in exchange for a cash incentive on their paychecks. This kind of manipulation is not only unethical but also misleading to families trying to find genuine, quality care for their children. What made the work environment even more toxic was the administration’s habit of gossiping about staff to other employees and speaking inappropriately about parents to teachers. The director, Marissa Corrales, would frequently talk about teachers to parents—outside of the school setting—which created discomfort, distrust, and a very unprofessional atmosphere. It’s incredibly disheartening to work in a place where confidentiality and respect are clearly not valued. After voicing concerns about these unethical practices upon being laid off, I was denied a letter of recommendation—despite my hard work, dedication, and leadership as the primary teacher for my classroom. This was clearly retaliatory and only further reflects the administration’s poor values. Owners Lori and Tricia have shown zero regard for the families and staff who keep the school running. The third owner, Marissa , consistently failed to advocate for or support her teachers when it mattered most. I strongly urge families to look elsewhere. There are many other preschools in Las Vegas that truly prioritize your child’s growth, safety, and education. Springstone Montessori is not one of them.

Pros

There are some nice people but you really have to be patient and look for them. Some teachers do really care about their students and try to be compassionate towards others.

Cons

Everything else. The pay was not enough. The owner only cares about money. They mistreat the staff and underpay and under deliver. The administration (apart from maybe one person) is downright rude and terrible to staff and has no repercussions for it. The administration is all close so if you tell one person something you know everyone else is going to know too. A lot of the staff is withdrawn and won’t talk to you for the first month or two that you work there. They offer you no resources on how to best help each classroom and just let you figure it out, despite the knowledge that they could share about the individual class needs. Some teachers yell at the kids even though they’re literally 3 and 4 years old and the staff is fully aware of it. They have a strict “no gossip” policy which is code for everyone tells on everyone if they hear someone taking issue with something going on.

Pros

The coworkers are fantastic. We really care about each-other and admin cares about us. Kids are great and fun to be around.

Cons

The owners of the school are awful and view you as replaceable. They do not have ANY experience in preschool and inherited the school from their mother. They have zero empathy and understanding for what it is like to work for them.
