Although management will tell you it's a place that fosters career growth and professional development, that couldn't be further from reality. You're encouraged to express your career goals and aspirations for career development. However, when you do indeed communicate the desire to expand your skill set and eventually pursue other types of work, you're viewed as not being dedicated to your role and it's held against you. This was by far the most chaotic and unorganized work environment I've ever been in. There was no clarity pertaining the the direction that the agency was going or the tools that would be used daily to accomplish our work. Management often jokes about the lack of formal training and laugh about the environment being "trial by fire" as if those are acceptable conditions to set employees up for success. There are absolutely no processes in place and it seems as if everyone (management included) is figuring everything out as they go along. They have way too many clients and they can't be sufficiently supported by staff. This leads to unhappy clients who are constantly expressing their frustrations and threatening to fire the agency. The company has poor communication which leads to constant chaos and confusion. It was truly a disappointing professional experience. During the interview process they paint an entirely different picture than what the true circumstances really are. Leaving Springbox was the best professional decision I've ever made.
