Pros

You're exposed to loads of different areas of the business and can be creative with solving issues. If you structure your points in a logical way with evidential backing you are listened to, make sure you have suggestions on how to solve the issue before raising it. It builds a certain resilience in you but its very easy to get burnt out.

Cons

Everyone isn't always on the same page when it comes to strategy so I'd say you have to be quite assertive with your professional opinions. The workload is quite intense, you need to be heavily committed to the business to get everything you're responsible for done. There isn't a lot of time to get things done right, there are quite a few short cuts taken. There is an element of micromanagement. You are expected to work past your contracted hours on a daily basis and if you're not seen to be doing this then there are repercussions. Some of the customers have unrealistic expectations of what the product does and a lot of selling is done on "Coming Soon" features.

Pros

Not a lot. Reasonably flexible working

Cons

CEO gets involved in miniscule details of everything - including topics he knows very little about. The growth isn't anywhere near expectations. Read through the Glassdoor reviews - the majority of the positive ones read as though they are written by the CEO himself.

Friday drinks and office shenanigans

Cons

Where do I start. Stop cultivating a high pressure sales close business. Support your customers properly and give your CSMs the reward they desperately deserve. STOP micromanagement. It breeds contempt and shows management is poor which is driven from the echelons at the top. Perhaps the CEO would do well to take on a training course for people management?
