      Poor HR department, Toxic Work Environment

      Pros

      The benefits aren't half bad if you're single/not claiming a dependent.

      Cons

      Incredibly toxic work environment, including a state supervisor who is a bully to her staff. Supervisors who are bi-polar and will openly criticize people, especially contract workers. Supervisors who will treat you like an idiot if you don't pick up on a complex issue immediately. Non-existent HR department that won't take complaints of hostility seriously. A CEO who doesn't take extremely low employee moral seriously. Zero room for advancement. This is a contract job, and only a contract job, this is not a way to get into the state and you will not be directly hired into the state from this job. You will end up doing work you were told in your interview you will never do.

      Pros

      If you get on a good team it is tolerable for a while.

      Cons

      Zero transparency. HR does not like to answer ANY questions. They will go as far as talking to your manager about you asking questions. Insurance is expensive and not good. They preach about how they strive for a good work environment, but you are allowed to be bullied, and when something is said, HR defends themselves and management to the fullest.
