Pros

The coworkers are very nice.

Cons

They do layoffs quite often. Family owned so they give positions to people who should not be in higher positions. They only care about how much money they make and not about employee welfare. They have moved a bunch of in house positions to Mexico and China to save money.

Pros

Most coworkers are caring, family business, employees take good care of our customers and most people work hard

Cons

Management and VPs don’t listen to associates, leadership makes sure you know your place, hybrid work policy with three days in office being pushed without considering impacts to persons with young children, women and people of color. Entry level employees have no influence on direction of company. Leadership VPs park up front in special spots and often hides in offices behind closed doors and they are not inclusive. Leadership also does not share important info for doing our job and everything is a secret.

Thank you for providing your review of Standard Textile. Taking the time to do so shows your care and concern for our organization, and that’s never a bad thing. As you know, in holding ourselves to a higher standard, we encourage each other to engage candidly so that we hear alternate perspectives – whether that’s via a conversation with your manager or through our internal channels. We understand that providing feedback internally can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but please know the request is sincere. We also understand that change can be difficult, especially, when it is first presented. Standard Textile is committed to creating an inclusive work environment that helps our associates – and our organization – thrive. In fact, even prior to the pandemic, we rolled out a flexible working arrangement policy providing associates more options as to where they work. Now, as hybrid work has evolved, we are looking to strike the right balance of flexibility that supports both collaboration and focus time while allowing better alignment across the organization. In considering the impact on our associates of shifting from two in-office days to three, we have built time in before it goes into effect to allow associates the opportunity to make arrangements. We value your input as we continue to refine our policies.

Nepotism!!!!

Pros

The only part of this company that is above average is the PTO

Cons

Nepotism at it's finest. If you're not part of the family, Jewish, or sleeping with someone in he family the chances of a fair salary and promotion are slim to none. There is a definite sense of hierarchy and if you are not in upper management you will work hard, be paid minimal, be micromanaged, and treated like an incompetent. Raises are small and insignificant compared to cost of living increases. Employees are not treated fairly across the board. Company finances are used recklessly. They value image more than their employees, and do no view their employees as people, rather numbers. The harder you work, the more they expect of you with no greater compensation. Others can get away with unsatisfactory work and are then given less work, same compensation as those that are hard working. There is no motivation to succeed and grow professionally. This is by the worst company I have worked for. I have seen very unethical practices within the company, but since it is family owned it does no good reporting anything to HR.
