      Star One Credit Union is a good place to work.

      Pros

      Star One pays very well; offers great benefits; has great business hours (no weekends!) and a relaxed dress code. Star One is very supportive when it comes to educating employees about their jobs and the credit union industry. Employees are encouraged to attend credit union sponsored training programs and networking opportunities. Also, there is no current "sales" culture.

      Cons

      Not enough staff to handle the volume of work. Lack of comminucation between departments.

      Pros

      Competitive compensation and a great overall benefits package. A Mission that can succeed to best serve members with the presence of cooperation and an "eager to assist" attitude amongst all staff.

      Cons

      Although regarded as "one of the best" credit unions for the products and services offered to its members, Star One falls disappointingly short in the areas of employee morale and recognition. An overwhelmingly conservative and negative attitude trickles down from the executive management level to all areas of the organization. Tradition and the "Star One way" often serve as barriers to positive change and individual growth.

      Great culture, amazing co-workers, good pay.

      Cons

      Some poor management. They don't listen to feedback. Should replace some Vice Presidents.
