Management, pay, and overall work environment is a joke. Management does not relay PERTINENT information to lower employees which caused easily preventable mistakes across all departments. We were openly told not to discuss salaries - even after I had told them that it was our federally protected right to do so. And don't expect a raise ever. How dare you! SO many employees have side hustles - like selling their plasma - in order to pay their bills. They will always pay new employees more than people who have been loyal for years and are annoyed when said persons find out and inevitably, quit. The sales department is prioritized over everyone else. On more than several occasions, sales would scream and curse at admin all day long but because they brought in money to the company, consequences were never dealt - as far as I've seen (which is a lot). Each agent was even given a $5,000 comeback bonus after the pandemic while I KNOW the other departments received maybe $100/person, if even. HR is ornamental at best (they're not even on-site!) and completely noncommunicative with anyone outside of a manager/director role. If employees needed to get in touch with HR, they were told to go through their department manager which defeats the whole purpose of confidential issues. They even discriminated against employees who were sick at the beginning of COVID. All of the managers bring their problems and attitudes to work so it always feels like you are walking on eggshells. There are SEVERAL videos of one of the sales directors berating and cursing out the sales agents (I could find one for you, if you like). All departments are constantly understaffed but everyone is still expected to maintain the same fast pace as if fully staffed. Someone is expected to stay on the premises until the last sale is completely done - even if that person has already worked 10+ hours that day with NO overtime pay (I have receipts for this as well). Managers however, could just not show up during their regular schedule, giving no notice to the team. Personally, I think we functioned better on those days anyway. They implement too many different new systems and processes at once and are upset with the learning curve and are surprised at the high employee turnover rate. They photoshop prices from other travel websites like Expedia onto their Powerpoint presentations in order to sell more packages - for which I've seen the evidence! They also have several unlicensed agents selling their product. They claim they are giving customers "discounts" when all packages are at a set price (they just give the customer a higher starting figure and "drop" it down). The list of shady sales tactics and business dealings goes on and on. In summation, working here after hearing all this would be downright masochistic. Expect too much stress for not enough pay, constant micro-management or no management at all (never in between), and a terrible atmosphere.
