Not what I was told it would be

Pros

The pay is ok,a bit less than what I was expecting, but still ok. Some of the people are nice, but others I think are too stressed out. They have a nice building. I like my boss, and my team.

Cons

This was a huge mistake. Before I started, they told me they were undergoing change, but they were excited about the future. Turns out that they are selling the company, and I wish they had told me this before they hired me!!!! After a couple of months here, it's quite clear that there are major issues that senior management aren't acknowledging - all the staff are walking around worried, and nothing is getting fixed. Some people say that it used to be a good place to work, but that is falling apart. Seems to be a constant stream of people resigning, and they aren't getting replaced, makes it hard on everyone else. There are a lot of new people like me. Also a lot of people who seem to have just given up and don't care anymore, which also makes it hard. I very rarely get to leave on time, and they dont pay overtime.

Pros

The managing director appears to be reasonably approachable.

Cons

State Super Financial Services is undergoing a lot of changes right now. It has limited resources so is demanding of its employees. Some staff have to work on weekends as they have so much work. Limited opportunities for individual career advancement.
