Pros

-People working there, are normally starting in the industry, so all of them put its soul to the job, are friendly and optimistic (at least first months). -Variety of snacks, including fruits, cookies, healthy bars, etc. -depending on the mood of management, flexible schedule.

Cons

-Fake promises (what you get is not by far what you get offer, in the moment you bring this to the table they state you have bad attitude). -If I say lack or poor management, I'm been very acquiescent, in my 17 years of work I haven't see any company so bad managed, in all the ways imaginable. -If you have to do (because there is always something let it to the las hour, talking about bad management) extra hours, good luck getting them paid. -Depending on the mood of management, flexible schedule. -Awful management, I know I already put this, but let me get this right for you, my future friend, everything wrong with this company is management, there is nobody that can make this worst than it is now, Donald Trump would be proud.

Labor law in Costa Rica and the US is very clear and strictly enforced regarding employees compensation, payment and overtime remuneration so everyone gets treated equally and fairly. We work with a great team of lawyers that makes sure every single one of our decisions not only follows the law but is also ethically correct. It is very unfortunate to see how a former employee can react in such an unprofessional manner as to form part of this wave of trolling comments meant to harm the reputation of the company without providing any constructive criticism. We wish you the best of luck selling sandwiches ON a stadium.

The Worst Company I've Ever Worked For

Pros

- Coworkers - Some interesting projects. - Free coffee, you will need it.

Cons

I'm not writing this to scorn Stateside. I am writing this to inform potential employees of deceit and headaches they're about to endure. This was jumping ship into an endless ocean of empty promises that lead to nothing. I'd seen my coworkers fired over being exhausted and wanting to not work on weekends on end. Worst things are: - Management: They will do whatever it takes to make the sale, even if it means kill their entire team with overtime or having to contract a third party to do it. They don't listen to their team recommendations or risks they presented, even if it will cost them their client - Payment: They are really bad at paying, don't be surprised if they try to promise some extra things so they can delay payment... even offer a "share" of the company, it will be a lie. - Their concept of ownership: Do whatever it takes to make all project work in our timeline, don't mind your family, your health, or anything, even if it's weekend, holiday, the 10th night in a row, doesn't matter. Advice for people thinking off working with them: don't!! but if you decide to do it anyways. Get everything in writing. ALWAYS. Be ready to defend your self, they will try to blame you for EVERYTHING, even if you raised red flags or if you warned on any risk for the project.. it will be your fault. So have your facts ready

It seems that even if the intended purpose of this post was not to “scorn Stateside” we barely see any constructive criticism we can take action on. It is unfortunate how bad energy and resentment leads to these kind of comments. We care deeply for our employees and make sure everyone is heard, we do have a comprehensive benefits package and Costa Rica and US labor law ensures everyone is paid properly and on time as well as treated fairly. Employees satisfaction and motivation is key to delivering the best possible quality that’s why we have an anonymous suggestion box so employees know we listen to them and take action on their recommendations. We strive to do the best work in this industry, and understand that sometimes we have to work hard to achieve it. However, we make sure all employees get a correct work/life balance and get properly compensated for their work, which is a key for everyone to perform at a higher level.

All lies, no ethics

Pros

A core team, often unappreciated from management who, lacking the curriculum, the command of the English language and better opportunities stay here and work hard.

Cons

These 'entrepreneur wannabes' think the only way to operate a company is through lies and by stealing time or money from their employees. Need an example of the lies? They get two positive reviews when someone also added the 'official' photo on Glassdoor. Same one they posted on FB a few days ago. What is next? Have friends and family give 5 stars just like on their FB? We can expect a few 5 star reviews here from their inner circle, but in a company that probably has not had over 25 employees in total, this many 1-stars definitely send a signal. If you are considering to work here, don't. They complain about disgruntled employees, and by disgruntled they mean 'anyone who wants to get fairly paid for their time, wants to have time to study or spend it with the family, and who wants to operate within the local labor laws'.

It is evident this feedback is meant to harm the reputation of the company yet it really only acts to denigrate the fantastic employees that comprise this wonderful company. Fortunately, labor law in Costa Rica and the US is very clear and strictly enforced regarding employees compensation, payment and overtime remuneration so everyone gets treated equally and fairly. We also have a proven track of success establishing long-term relationships with clients and employees, which can only be the result of honesty and accountability. The startup culture is not for everyone. We quickly identify certain employees who are not a good fit with our company culture and try and reconcile these issues. If it's better that we just part ways, we make that decision for the greater good of the agency and the team’s morale.
