Pros

Seemingly generous perks and travel. Well educated employees.

Cons

Fragmented and disorganized teams. Inconsistent and unused internal systems. Total lack of dogfooding and communication between teams. Many colleagues are either hostile or despondent.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your honesty and it’s unfortunate to hear about your experience at IFT. We’re glad you enjoyed the opportunity to travel to either one of our recent All Hands events or to a global Web 3 conference. As a mission-driven tech start-up studio with a growing portfolio of programs and projects, each at different stages of development, we understand that our dynamic culture of high accountability and autonomy doesn’t suit everyone. Sometimes, this means parting ways. We are committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment where all contributors feel valued and heard. We do prioritise quarterly feedback from all our Contributors and are proud of our engagement scores across the different projects within IFT. That being said, there is always room for improvement, and we take your feedback on organisation, internal systems and communication seriously. Once again, thank you for your feedback. We wish you the best on your next adventure.

Pros

Status has core principles that are in line with the founding vision of Ethereum, and they completely stick to it. Status is dedicated to building products and Ethereum infrastructure for the people, that is censorship resistant, transparent, pseudoanonymous, and immutable across the entire Web3 stack: messaging, consensus, and storage. A standout attribute of Status that is different than most companies is that everything, from top to bottom, is completely transparent. As an employee, you get the benefits of: - fully remote and async work environment - flexible hours - great pay (optional crypto pay split) with bonuses in SNT - bleeding edge development on blockchain and decentralised systems - incredible talent pool

Cons

There is a bit of an issue with cohesion across teams, where different teams have different directional concerns (eg some teams are top down driven, where others are more individually driven), communication and information organisational locations/methods, cadence, etc. However, there are bi-weekly townhalls and quarterly strategy meetings that do help to keep everyone at the company in touch with the progress of other teams. In addition, working in some timezones can be a bit isolating (eg APAC).

Pros

Flexibility and interesting work for developers.

Cons

The promise of decentralization is just a promise. Lack of leadership and cohesiveness. It's an echo chamber , and early movers has the advantage to bully others.
