Pros

It's really cool being part of a lean team punching above its weight in the billing space and still win deals. The people that make up the org, as well as those that are directly in charge of leading it are all quality people that make the fight a good one. There are opportunities to grow with the billing organization, as well as within the context of the larger Stax Payments organization which can offer some interesting flexibility in one's career.

Cons

The full integration of Stax Bill to the rest of the Stax Payments platform is still an ongoing process and so has some of the growing pains that come along with that, particularly having a smaller team that can only output so much, while having some rigidity in overall strategy due to being part of a larger organization - which is sometimes tough to contend with. But leadership does a good job of navigating the team though it and I always felt like middle ground could be found.

Pros

A great team of coworkers

Cons

Below-average pay Burnout Culture Lack of Transparency Management not caring about work-life balance Fusebill was acquired a couple of years ago by this company out in Florida. We were given promises that weren't kept (ex: forcing everyone back in the office after being told it was supposed to be mostly remote). Meanwhile the CEO barely shows up herself, too busy with her instagram profiles and side hustles. All we got were vapid platitudes about how we should be grateful to even have a job while the company's valued at a billion but pays peanuts and expects everyone to be in crunch mode all the time. 100% isn't good enough. Product development has zero direction, being 100% reactive to every customer's whim. Management constantly putting the kibosh on obtaining new hires and combining positions that shouldn't be combined and will lead to burnout. "Jokes" about "vampire mode" where people would have to work evenings and weekends.
