Pros
A great mission (enabling independent media) which is pushed by a passionate and creative team, that adapted quickly to a rapidly changing environment within the membership and creator economy space, that especially during the first phases of the pandemic required a lot from everyone. One of the few cases where the culture and atmosphere within the team actually made up for the lack of certain structures and processes.
Cons
A management team that was confronted with a few too many challenges on a few too many decision maker's shoulders, which made some decisions slower than they would have to be. It should be noted though, that this lead to restructurings in key roles and is progressing towards the better.
