Pros

If you want to work your rear off and have ZERO life outside of brokering then this is for you. Max 15% commission is a joke

Cons

This place boasts being the "A team" continually mocking other brokerages and sending inappropriate "motivational" daily emails which are completely inappropriate. Management teams like to send secret messages to each other discussing other employees sitting right next to them... President sends messages to "cut fat" from teams all while social media is saying "We're hiring" Don't ever expect a raise, doesn't matter if you get a promotion or have been there for multiple years, they will fight to the teeth to line their own pockets. Consistently RUDE to their partner carriers going out of their way to mock and ridicule them. Also higher level management can openly have affairs with coworkers who are never meeting performance standards and nothing is done besides firing those who address it with HR.

Pros

I don’t really have much to say.

Cons

The most stressful place I’ve ever worked. Going into work never knowing if this day will be your last day was extremely stressful. They fire over half of the employees that worked there for “performance” however no one cared to teach anything. They send out all these emails of new things coming to Steam but never teach on them then wants us to relay the information to our prospects, customers and carriers. How the heck are we supposed to do that when y’all don’t teach us? Then we’ll ask about it and our managers couldn’t tell us either. And when they do decide to “teach” they’ll have 30 minutes classes with multiple people in the room and speed talking through a PowerPoint. Steam needs to do better educating their employees. The reviews on Google are not accurate half the reviews are from people who currently work at Steam. Then there’s managers who clearly never managed before and will do any and everything they can to sabotage an employee under them if they don’t like them. Managers are apparently allowed to date customers now with no consequences. It’s a horrible place to work. There’s very little room to promote. I would not recommend Steam at all.

Pros

Literally none exist at this place anymore.

Cons

Starting salary is well under the poverty level for the state of Tennessee. If you do happen to land a good account it will more than likely be given to your manager or enterprise. Management is horrible and doesn't have a clue what they are doing, you get a week's worth of training 60-70% of which is HR stuff. The market is going downhill at the moment and you will be treated like a number, not an employee. High-stress low reward and commission structure is set up to benefit the company, not the broker or the operations person. They also claim to not be funded by investors, but a quick google search shows Dynamo VC are investors in them.
