Pros
Excellent pension and an overall good benefits package. Bonuses have only been introduced with relatively low percentage, with additional performance based bonuses expected to be introduced next year. Time will tell how arbitrary the application of it will be based upon the rife favouritism. The new office is smart. As with anywhere, you will find some good people.
Cons
Old fashioned, but typical for the industry. Bullying behavior is not managed well, so you will find that victims/complainants end up being the ones that leave. The pay is average/low at entry level which can leap with progression, but it’s still on the lower side compared to market standard. Maternity/Paternity offering is not great. The marketing will tell you staff are very happy and there are staff members who have been there for 20/30/40 years… which is true for a small minority. But ask them how many people have left in the last 12 months.
