Toxic Culture

Pros

Salaries are market competitive. San Diego is a great city.

Cons

Controlled by unstable family members. Bonus agreements are in contracts but never paid. Culture is by fear and hate. The son in law monitors the staffs emails and targets "traitors" one by one until they are gone. No strategic plan, everything is knee jerk. Senior staff is incompetent. The President is great but powerless to change anything due to the family control. No growth plan for employees, total finger point and blame game on the daily. Very male dominated and they treat women as such. If you are looking to join a sinking ship, this is the place.

Pros

You get a check, and seems like they can be very creative when it comes to doing business however they never become real

Cons

Family owned business, lack of vision, oweful environment, bad management, no managers or supervisors only directors (60% directors, 40% employes), low moral, no raises, no motivation, people could get away with murder and manaement would cover it. Promise bonuses and a long list of benefits you never actually see, ever.

Leadership Terrible, No Plan or Vision

Pros

San Diego weather is great. Office was great but Steren recently moved to a small facility in a less than ideal area.

Cons

Family owned and run company with all the problems associated with families: infighting, intrigue, ebb and flow of family finances, etc. Some good outside leaders have been here but they never lasted as they have never been allowed to actually run the company without daily interference and family "issues".
