Pros

SSCO has lots of very intelligent, knowledgeable and passionate employees. It is a great place to work for people who are intellectually curious and who care about their work. Not your typical investment banker types. I worked as an analyst at SSCO in NYC in the early 2000s (not 2013; the web site won't let me go further back than that for some reason).

Cons

I think sometimes the advice given to clients was based on a too narrow interpretation of the EVA way. This can lead to somewhat dissatisfying experiences.

Stay Away - NOT THE PLACE TO WORK if it's the only offer you have

Pros

Very difficult to find any good thing to work for Stern Stewart. There is just no work. The practice has nothing to offer whether you are starting your career or experienced professional.

Cons

Practice is dead. No clients. No work. Shabby management. Low salaries. Management is unethical to the core. Hire MBAs from top schools but have nothing to offer. Last month salary is not paid when you leave the company.

I learned a lot in short time. Had exposure to real customers and projects from early stages of the internship.

Cons

Limited appreaciation of interns. Collegues had very little time to coach and involve me initially. On some projects the consultants had very low knowledge of the subjects.
