Pros

- you will learn how little communication takes place within the communication industry

Cons

- claims to be a "no clock punching" type of company. What they really mean by this is that they expect you to work insane hours (sometimes until 2, 3, maybe 4 AM) which leads to lots of employee burn out, the absence of a personal life and churn. - no 401k, no stock options and terrible health insurance. - your great ideas will be called idiotic and then implemented by someone else higher up that takes all of the credit - the company only has one real customer - It was once an innovative think tank that welcomed "different thinking", the round pegs in square holes, has turned into a black and white, IBM like corporation with zero culture. - the people that do the most important work in the company make embarrassing salaries while the owners laugh all the way to the bank.

Stonecrop is committed to improving communication! As we have grown so quickly, we have been challenged with how to communicate most effectively with all our divisions and remote staff. Any feedback about how we communicate is welcomed, as we recognize it is an area of growth opportunity! We have added a matching 401(k) plan and have improved our benefit offerings tremendously over the past 2 years. Company team building outings are not every person's cup of tea. We are doing our best to add some variety to the type of events we hold to find a little something for everyone!

Pros

Interesting work with some very good people. Could be a fun environment without the adolescent attempts to create fun by the president.

Cons

Lots of employee churn. This is strictly a top-down organization. You will not be given room to originate ideas or execute in a way other than defined by the president. And should there be a problem, someone will get blamed (but most assuredly it will not be the president).

Pros

Pay seems competitive. Health benefits. Job allows you to come up with solutions on-the-fly, as there's little to no training. Company is fairly new. Room for advancement, but..

Cons

Nepotism is rampant. Pay raise schedule and metric has been changed several times. There is barely proper training. Your best bet is to be friends with important people. Personality is often more valuable than the work you put in. Friends of higher ups get good positions (that's the case almost anywhere you go.) Company recycles temp workers. They say the best ones come back, but that's a blatant lie. Many things are in the process of getting better, but we're not there yet.
