Welcoming culture undermined by weak leadership and direction
Pros
You get to meet really good people in the industry. The industry is a very welcoming, family environment.
Cons
There appears to be a significant gap in leadership, strategic vision, and operational accountability. The company’s executive focus seems heavily weighted toward scaling and expansion, while the needs of the existing client base and the stability of the core product have not been prioritized with the same urgency. Ongoing product bugs and unresolved issues continue to erode client confidence and create opportunities for competitors to gain market share. At the same time, the company has pursued initiatives such as a rebrand and rate increases, despite only limited visible progress in addressing long-standing product concerns. Internally, leadership has lacked consistency and direction. Over the years, there has been frequent turnover among directors, many of whom have struggled to fully understand the role, the team’s responsibilities, or the outcomes they are expected to drive. Current leadership often appears more focused on self-preservation than on providing clear guidance, support, and strategic direction to their teams. Accountability also seems misaligned, with concerns that some leadership appointments are influenced more by personal relationships than by qualifications, experience, or fit for the role. As a result, employees and clients alike are left without the confidence, clarity, and stability needed for long-term success.
