Pros

I honestly have no pros for this company

Cons

Terrible TERRIBLE place to work. They only care about getting jobs out the door. They lose great talent because of the terrible atmosphere, and rely too heavily on over time calling it a "gift". Instead of paying people what they worth, they tell you to work overtime when available. You aren't allowed to eat at your desk, get up and walk around, or talk. They say this is okay because they give you two 15 minute breaks a day (legally required). Company meetings are done about monthly, but just bash employees for not working hard enough. Pretend to have a family atmosphere but treat most of their employees like soulless robots. They DO NOT like people with ambition. Heavily play the favorites game, leads and supervisors are the only ones treated halfway decent. Yearly raises, and PTO opportunities are NOT guaranteed. If you are looking for a career, do not work here. I worked here for two years, could double the amount of work anyone else put out, but was less valuable because I didn't work 60+ hours a week. I wish I didn't have to give them stars.

Just Don't

Pros

Professionally there are none. You're essentially a robot to them.

Cons

There's too much to count. In the plainest of words: they do not care about their lab employees. At. All. If I could I would give this place ZERO stars. All upper management care about is money and the amount of jobs that need to be sent out in a day. Oh a person is sick? Well suck it up buttercup cause we have jobs that need to be sent out and you're replaceable. Yeah you can call in sick or have to deal with a family issue, but they keep track of it and always suspect that you're lying. They don't listen to their direct reports or leads when they try to suggest good ideas on how to improve production. Unless they come up with it themselves then it's a good idea. They're also biased with their employees. If they don't like you they'll find a way to fire you regardless if you're improving or doing well. The moment you screw up that's it. Also they promised PTO if you work for a year, well most people there have worked for 3+ and they still don't have PTO. They cherry pick who "deserves" it and who gets more if they already have it. Oh and even though the world is going through an pandemic guess what they decide to do? Give an ultimatum: come to work, wipe your desk with the limited amount of Clorox wipes we have and risk getting infected or be a carrier to spread it OR get laid off, apply for unemployment and "if" we call you back you must come to work or get fired. Wow talk about caring for your employees! It's not like the parents can pick up their orders anyways! Schools are closing, a virus is spreading and all you care about are making sure these packages are done? At the risk of your so called employees that you say is like family? Really?! Honestly that says a lot about management. Money over the safety of others. Right I also forgot to mention that there's no HR, so any complaints will be counted against you. You're practically on your own in terms of harassment, racism, sexism, conflicts of interest, bias etc. And to the person reading this looking for a new job and considering this, just don't. For your own sanity and safety. They don't even pay well and the so called pay raise is mere pennies. You deserve better than this.

Words vs Actions

Pros

When there's work, there's work, and the check clears. There are some great people there, but honestly they would probably be better served working somewhere that actually acknowledges their skills and talents.

Cons

Their words and actions don't match. They like to say they're a family but that's only when its convenient. Honestly, I can't recommend working here to anyone because, after being there a few years, it's like actively encouraging someone to join an abusive relationship. Work is work, and they'll say that enough, but treating your employees like crap shouldn't be a part of any work environment. That family dynamic that they claim is there is only reserved for certain people, everyone else is essentially treated like the red headed step child who should be thankful to even be there. You're shamed and made to feel guilty if you don't do overtime, or if you happen to call out sick. If you do call out sick, your coworkers get to hear you being mocked by supervisors while you're gone, and then also when you come back. Any sort of negative criticism they receive, is immediately turned back on the person who said it. Everything is a "you" problem, leadership rarely, if ever takes responsibility for anything. If something goes wrong and they can find a patsy, they will. That said, if you have an idea to help things run more smoothly, you're better off keeping it to yourself, because the supervisor will more than likely dismiss it because it wasn't their idea. The cheery on the cake is, over the time I worked there, it was nothing to walk into the break room or even be near one of the supervisors offices and hear them openly and unabashedly talking bad about other employees, in particular those that worked underneath them.
