-Heads of the company have major ego issues and are unable or unwilling to take criticism. (This does not apply to the co-founder; from the conversations I've had with them, they have been a pleasure to speak with and genuinely seem to care for the employees and business) Unfortunately, day-to-day interaction with them is rare, and depending on your role, you will mostly be dealing with your team lead or heads of department instead.
-Depending on the role you are applying for, there may be a lack of transparency during the hiring process. Some colleagues in other departments interviewed for and were offered specialised roles, but ended up placed in very generic positions, with nothing in the interviews, job offers, or onboarding indicating this would be the case.
-Depending on your department (much less so in the engineering department), you may find yourself micromanaged and given arbitrary targets and metrics to hit with little to no context; structured very similarly to a sales centre environment with poorly defined OKRs and vibes.
- Younger employees should be cautious; don’t be fooled into thinking this company still offers growth opportunities. Gain experience here, but plan to move on quickly
