Good culture and general working environment where you feel like you're amongst like-minded engineers. Information was easily shared between the different engineering groups and there was a lot of camaraderie. The engineering problems were interesting and challenging and there was good flexibility left to the engineers to solve them.
Cons
There was a split in the core engineering effort which led to two, mostly parallel, (contentious) tracks of development. This introduced unnecessary politics and frustrating overhead.
Worked as a contract developer at Streetline for a year. Management was well seasoned. They had a good deep understanding of the technologies needed to make the company successful and were executing on the vision. Manager had reasonable expectations on timelines and was able to jump in and provide technical help when needed. Great company.
Great culture, people who help and want to do the right thing. Full stack technology. New and innovative technology. Respect for effort and generally open minded approach to business.
Cons
Couldn't ever quite get the right business model, and had to reduce staff. Some inconsistency in direction as a result of trying different ways to make money.
