Pros

Strong-Bridge Envision is the result of a merger between two boutique consulting companies. While I can't speak to the Envision side, the Strong-Bridge leadership, recruiting team, and account management are pretty great. Consulting gigs are always challenging. The account management team does a good job of aligning the skills and talent of its workforce with open positions & opportunities at its various companies. There are one-on-ones between the Account Managers & consultants, occasional account lunches, a thrice-yearly all-hands meeting, and agile/scrum learning sessions available. Compensation is better at SBE than other consulting gigs. You basically get to let recruiting know how much you'd like to make, and they mark your bill-rate up accordingly. Note that if you set your desired wage too high you may sit on the bench for a while - so it's a good idea to have a conversation with your account manager to find your market rate. The recruiters at SBE are top-notch, and a great reason why SBE has such intelligent talent working for them. In particular, Leena Rawat is a fantastic communicator and is talented at finding and matching new consultants with appropriate roles. As for the leadership - I personally know Renea Rayner. Renea has really Leaned In to her new leadership responsibilities since being elevated to the Sr. Leadership role. It's a refreshing experience to work for a company lead by such an exemplar of passion, empathy, intelligence, and the like. I have never met Rob Novick, but I hear he's okay, too.

Cons

Consultants are often silo'd within their various engagements. Benefits are meh & paid leave is (basically) non-existent. You can take leave, but the downside to the generous comp model is that you only get paid for time you actually spend working. This means you better have good money management skills & not blow your hard-earned cash on frivolous things if you'd like to take extended time off down the road.

Thank you so much for your post and feedback! We care greatly about each and every employee, their experience at SBE, and want our team to be excited and challenged by the work they get to do. We are continuously looking at ways to grow and improve as an organization and your comments help us do just that. A mentoring program and networking opportunities among our consultants are wonderful recommendations. Thank you!
