Pros

The founder is an amazing man who created the product line. He is one of the smartest humans on the planet, all heart, hard worker and very kind.

Cons

Simply put, the CON is the CEO. She was handed the job by her father. She does not work, online shops and plans her next vacations while her unhappy employees take the heat for the lack of direction and success. Don't share your personal life here. Later, sharing things in life will be used against you. The CEO is mean. Not the kind of mean where you can go to work and just ignore her. She is the kind of mean that literally throws insults below the belt. She takes all your career successes and tries to low-blow and insult. She implies that NO ONE works, has a work ethic or knows anything. She is the type that knows more than everything because her dad gave her a title of CEO. The bonus structure is non-existent, and you will never hit the "moving target" Simply put, the CEO is a narcissist who will continue to gossip, bad mouth and de- value her employees until basically the company can no longer exist. I have never worked somewhere less empowering in my life.

Pros

-Free product. -You form a bond with your co-workers because you are all suffering. -Jeff, the founder and scientist, is a pioneer in his field and such a sweet man.

Cons

Well...everything. And then some. -CEO has no direction as to where she is taking the company. -she cannot take responsibility for her failures and will put the blame on everyone else. -Extreme passive/aggressive behavior. -if you have something positive in your life she will single you out because she is jealous or will try to one up you. -Empty promises about mentoring and upward movement in the company. -very unproductive and lacks any kind of work ethic. -thinks her outdated MBA makes her superior to people who have actual successful companies. -makes disrespectful and degrading comments about others in the company. Will spread rumors that someone else said the words that came out of her mouth. -shows favoritism which and only praises certain employees who suck up. -the amount of turn over that happens within the company is terrifying. That alone should have been a sign to RUN. -salary is a joke for what is expected of you -lies about bonus and compensation. -the company will not make it if the current CEO is still in charge. Swallow your pride and know when to let someone else take the reins.
