Pros

Only work half day on Friday.

Cons

This company uses and abuses young professionals. There is NO organization or communication within the office. My first day, the person that was supposed to "train" me said "I have no idea what you're supposed to be doing." Employees are assigned to demeaning tasks around the office like trash duty. They're too damn cheap to hire a cleaning service. pay is WAY below standard and employees are treated like absolute crap. You'll be working on project, then be told at the last minute that it's been changed or canceled. There's also a Big Brother feel to this company. There's no sense of trust, everyone is watching your every move and is two faced. Everyone is freaking miserable there. The CEO doesn't understand that people have lives/families outside of the office and frowns upon those who don't stay late every night. If you clock in one minute late, you're in trouble. If you clock out one minute early, you're dead meat. You can't win here and there is NO sense of investment in employees from the CEO. She doesn't care. The absolute WORST thing about this company is that they put on a show for clients and act so nice to them then talk horribly about them the second they leave. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THAT?! This company won't teach you anything and is not a proper agency atmosphere. Don't waste your time applying, it's not worth it. You DON'T want to work here. End of story.

Pros

This company has so many cons, so it amazes me to see those 5 star reviews with no cons listed. Kinda suspicious. Dont lie. This company gives you vast amount of exposure to the marketing world which is a good thing. And majority of your co workers are very talented and a delight to work with.

Cons

Unfortunately it feels like your talents and abilities are abused at this company. Overworked, Underpaid. Salaries are between 20k-26k. One girl said she made $5/hr. People have the grand titles and their salaries definitely don't reflect it. You can spend hours working on a project, just to find out its cancelled (bad management). Yes marketing agencies are all fast paced, but there should never be a reason for an employee to be working overtime EVERY NIGHT. I love what i do and what i do is fun to me...but working here is like being forced to do something fun but you have to keep doing it till your fingers fall off and its no longer fun.

Pros

Some nice colleagues to work around until they wise up and quit. Casual environment in a trendy part of town.

Cons

The time commitment is literally absurd. Working hours are 9 am to whenever the CEO decides people can leave (usually 7-9 pm) Taking a lunch break is highly discouraged. Making employees overtime exempt allows the CEO to essentially skirt minimum wage laws. The business operates like a middle school classroom where essentially you turn in assignments to the condescending CEO who then gives you corrections when it is convenient for her schedule which is the only reason such insane hours are required. The workload is not commensurate with the time demanded. The CEO pretends there are office managers responsible for logistics but as far as I could tell they were just gatekeepers to her inbox since every decision was hers to make. I get having a vision for your start up but her level of trust in her employees was a joke. Her commitment to controlling everything basically renders her employees slave minions on call for whatever menial task she will have time to check and critique. I felt so sorry for clients who were all small business owners trying to get on their feet who were clearly throwing their money away hiring SBC.
