Pros
This company is filled with people who really believe strongly in the mission (making creative fulfillment attainable for everyone), always come with an upbeat attitude, and have fun and interesting lives outside of work - something I thought would have been harder to build as a fully remote company, but we really make being remote work to our advantage at Monthly by being able to find the best fit for each role without being limited by location. Also, I've been given a lot more trust, freedom to make decisions, and responsibility than I ever was in previous roles, and it's really gratifying to have that opportunity to grow so quickly. The leadership is incredibly transparent; despite being remote, I never feel like decisions are being made behind closed doors. Leadership is really open and vulnerable and discusses it frankly when we have doubts about our strategy, ways we could improve our culture/working style, etc.
Cons
The typical early stage startup stuff... sometimes I feel like I can't keep up with the needs of the company or we can't hire fast enough to meet our goals. Sometimes we try something new and it doesn't work out and we have to change our plan. Some classes perform way better than expected, but others perform worse, and we're still figuring out how to plan better as a company.
