Pros

Look... It pains me to say it, but the company culture at Suki AI is an absolute disaster… And, it’s been that way for a very long time. It comes from the very top and permeates down through the entire company. No one with power has had the guts to solve the problem because it would involve showing the upper most rungs of management the door. Check-in with any former employee for the straight scoop. Actually, check-in with any current employees (except for 2 to 3 people at the top who have been there from the beginning) and I suspect that they will privately tell you how things really are. Why write this review now? Well, let's just say a concerned, former employee recently noticed a few obviously fake reviews pop up here and felt it was important that things come correct: The positive reviews are fabricated. They come from sock puppet accounts (Come on guys, it’s just so transparent) and current employees looking to curry favor with others. Look, don’t fall victim to working for this company. I get it: You like the idea of the company, you want to make the world a better place, you think AI sounds cool… Just stop: Don’t do it. It’s all a fiction. Do not waste your time, and more importantly, don’t risk your sanity.

Cons

- Suki AI is the most toxic workplace I've ever been exposed to. It's truly remarkable. - It is too generous to simply call the company's management immature. A close look at two of the company's leadership reveals that they are both of shockingly poor character and truly devoid of integrity. It's actually quite sad and upsetting given what this company is supposed to be aspiring to in healthcare. If you knew the facts, it would really take the wind out of your sails. - Narcissism and gaslighting are commonplace at Suki AI. - Friction between engineering and product is bound to happen (I see it as something of a time honored tradition in building software)... but I have never seen a company where this friction becomes a full blown "tire fire" on a daily basis. During my time at Suki, the engineers truly despised the company's product lead. It wasn't subtle. It was visceral. The product lead was high on confidence, and very low on competence (the far left of the Dunning-Kruger curve). Pair this Dunning-Kruger effect with rude, condescending behavior and you have an unsolvable problem, and a miserable workplace. - The turnover of really high quality employees at Suki AI speaks volumes. It wasn't short lived. Folks left because the culture was intolerable. A cofounder was pushed out of the company for trying to correct the inexcusable behavior of top level management. He failed and paid the price. Sad. - I can't write anymore... It's just too negative. I think you get the point.

Pros

They are very good at fooling people which occasionally attracts honest, talented people who then quickly have their souls crushed before they either get humiliatingly terminated or strugglingly crawl away before they lose their sanity.

Cons

Where should I start.. - First, All The Negative Reviews Are 100% Accurate, Complimentary, and Necessary. - Nothing deserves the description "TOXIC" as much as Sukis culture. The politics, manipulation, lies, and power-grabs are an everyday ordeal. Get ready to be dismissed, yelled at, humiliated, and completely wrecked by people who genuinely believe to be your SUPERIORS. - Management is the worst thing about Suki. They treat the employees as children. Nepotism is rampant across the company. - Unsavory behaviors are so common that they are out in the open for anyone to observe and if anyone dares to speak they will be ousted by the CEOs gang. - You'll be tricked into making the least amount possible yet will be overloaded and squeezed to your very limit. - Nothing you do will matter unless it's the exact orders of your superiors who will applaud you and then get all the credit since it was their idea anyway. - The Product Leadership is by far the worst thing about the company. I have never seen Eng team be so put down in any other "tech" company. The CEO is an ex product guy himself and he wholeheartedly believes Prod>>Eng any day of the week. If you are an engineer, get ready to be treated as a second class citizen. - If you are not an engineer, your life is even worse. QA lie right below Eng followed, by Ops, Scribes, etc. A hierarchy if I ever saw one. - No talent stays over a year - so many people are just silent because it's just not worth it to suffer through this but these reviews are necessary - just can't keep going, but this list can go on forever My advice? RUN HARD, RUN FAR, RUN AND NEVER LOOK BACK

Poor culture, big egos, empty promises

Pros

- At some point in the past I considered Suki a fun place to work. There used to be smart and compassionate people that work here. - There is interest from big players in the industry, it's been a couple of years and Suki hasn't really been able to convert that interest into anything substantial though.

Cons

- Leadership here has some of the biggest egos I've ever seen, its absolutely detrimental to making any meaningful progress - Nepotism runs rampant both in the hiring process and promotion process. - Don't be fooled, its the same old drill of toxic culture, turnover, empty promises from the CEO, then rinse and repeat. CEO preaches that Suki is a "family", but people get fired on a whim. Better not upset the "favorite" employee. - High turnover means that whatever momentum gained through the year comes to a halting stop. Every year.
