Pros

Coworkers are all kind, caring, and committed to the kids. The community is very supportive.

Cons

Management company treats kids as profit and staff like trash. Pay is unacceptable for the amount of work and level of expertise.

Pros

The pros: -Staff (at least in my building) are amazing -You can actually watch yourself make a difference in the lives of children and it's amazing -Most staff within the building understand that social and emotional skills are just as important as academic skills -The students.period.

Cons

-Upper management in the admin building do not have a clue as to what actually goes on within each building. Even when they visit the buildings, they are sitting in the office refusing to engage with students or staff unless it's of their choosing. -Due to the offering of a poor salary amount, schools are unable to become fully staffed anymore. This directly affects the students and the staff and unless backed into the wall, nothing is done about it.

Pros

Fun staff to work with, small school atmosphere. No busing is used, so there are more chances of talking with parents during the dismissal time.

Cons

A lot of communication issues between management and schools. Also a lot of communication issues between admin and teachers. For a school that works to teach students with special needs, a constant changing schedule is not easy for anyone to follow.

Thank you for your feedback. I know our CEO and Executive staff have taken steps towards being more transparent and communicative because of helpful pieces of feedback such as yours. This is a work in progress to make sure that information is disseminated in a highly efficient and accurate manner to all staff across the state. We appreciate your patience and continued willingness to help us improve. As a company, we could not have the small family atmosphere that we enjoy without each dedicated staff member like yourself.
