Pros
-Some staff are exceptional and truly care. -Decent work/life balance
Cons
*Benefits/vacation are set at a bare minimum. You will be looked down upon by upper management for using vacation/sick time. *Bonuses are based on how much upper management favors you and not based on performance. *New engineers cautioned to applying since there is no chance for advancement with position or skills. You will most likely be offered way below market value. *Recently merged with a conglomerate of companies that are very top heavy with management and is extremely alienating. Upper management only cares about the facade they create for the merged company higher ups. *Opinions of you are based on the gossiping of upper management and not of true character or actual work ethic. Therefore advancement is affected based on opinions. *Upper management will throw you under bus for mistakes, but will take credit for any quality work you do. *Upper management only cares about bonuses and not work quality. *Upper management steps on employees to climb newly formed corporate ladder set forth by merger. *Classic good ol' boys company. If you haven't been here for decades look for other work. *Position/Title advancement only based on favoritism, someone leaves, or someone retires. *Bonuses at end of year based on pre set rounded number and not based on effort. *Upper management expects loyalty from employees, but is completely alienated from staff. Especially with merger in place. *Not a family friendly place to work like they make themselves out to be. Employee turnover over last decade/how they reward employees shows this.
