Growing numbers wise but stagnant as a company

Pros

Can make what you put in. Must have strong inner drive to succeed as management is very hands off. Work life balance is good.

Cons

Must always watch your back. Managers will make a verbal agreement but will either change their minds or forget, frequently. Get everything in writing. No upward mobility within the company. Success is marginalized. Current "good ol boys club" between managers and senior reps. Different standards for senior reps and employees. Offer no real incentives to succeed. All carrier sales reps are considered equals, regardless of productivity.

They do not treat you with enough human decency. The parent company AIT Worldwide Logistics is poor at understanding each role and position and only look at final dollar amount earned even during a pandemic. Their shortsighted perspective has lead to large turnover and no support to remote employees. They are trying to scale up at a time that they are losing employees and being forced to scale down due to lack of support for existing employees long-term growth. As with many brokerages, you are either handed a huge account or the support to service a new client is insufficient to grow a new book if business. You must be fortunate, connected, or handed accounts.
