They forgot about Juneteenth

Pros

Pay is well and co-worker are normally pretty friendly. If you want to sell out in the treatment center world of mental health stick around and say yes and thank you. You will get promoted as everyone else leaves or gets fired.

Cons

This place is a mess. The positive reviews are fabrications and not grounded in reality. Nice to see a few people in leadership tried to polish up the fact that this place has been in a prolonged state of crisis due to a lack of clinical and support staff while also pressing ahead to grow beyond clinical capacities. For a “woke” place like suncloud to forget Juneteenth is everything you need to know about the state of affairs in the disjointed catastrophe. More work than you can do in a 45 hour work week. Limited supervisions and clinical support Unwell co-workers who could easily be in programming with the patients. Terrible communication They gaslight you by never taking responsibility and turning it on you and your part.

Thank you for your comments. It is clear that you are unhappy with us at the moment and since you are still an employee, we hope you feel safe to approach us directly so we can work together to address your concerns in a way that works for all of us. We are admittedly confused about several of your issues and frankly disagree with some of it, there is a disconnect and we hope to bridge that with you sooner than later. Though we absolutely could have done and will do more next year on Juneteenth, we did treat it as a holiday at SunCloud this year by providing a PTO day to all employees and running shortened holiday programming. We have really failed you if somehow we did not make you aware of this. Please speak directly with us at your earliest convenience about this and everything else that you have mentioned.

Pros

A lot of great material provided for patients Patients have the structure in treatment Patient-centered care, theory is great I hope the patients benefit from the treatment the team provides for them

Cons

EVERYTHING This company doesn't care about their employees whatsoever They would rather see you struggle mentally and physically and HIDE IT than to help you become the best version of you possible They are corporatists who only care about making money off of the wealth of the areas they serve They PRIDE themselves off of the fact that they only take private pay--that's really not something to brag about They claim to be patient-centered but patients can sense the judgment of the clinicians around them

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate the positive comment and are deeply concerned that you left feeling like we are judgmental and that we don’t care about you, your wellbeing or your health. We are in the business of taking care of people and being accepting and loving toward everyone. Thus, your experience is concerning to hear, and we would like to hear more directly from you should you be interested in communicating with us at this point. You deserve to be heard and we need to hear if there is something going on that we can be doing better. We do want to say that while we are in fact proud to be able to provide the quality of care that we do while being an in-network provider with most commercial insurance plans, we are certainly not proud to not be able to accept Medicare or Medicaid. We know patients with no insurance or state or federally funded insurance deserve the same level of care as everyone else, and they have very few options- especially for the kind of work that we do. We have spent quite a bit of time and money exploring become a Medicare and or a Medicaid provider. It is incredibly complicated and requires systems that we currently do not have in place. I believe one day we will accept either or both, but in the meantime, we are certainly not proud that we do not. And we are currently exploring a scholarship program with a group called Project Heal. Again, thank you for your feedback.

High Turnover for a Reason

Pros

High starting salary, friendly and empathetic clinicians who go above and beyond for clients.

Cons

Virtually no benefits package, poor work/life balance, no HR department, limited office space, constantly changing record-keeping processes, diversity and inclusion focus in theory rather than practice, lots of talk vs. action, toxic and micromanaging non-clinician mgmt. Job seekers, trust the red flags.

Thank you for your comments. We are grateful for the kind words about our clinicians, and it is clear you did not feel the same way about management. We are sorry we disappointed you as a team member and absolutely intend to use your comments to improve ourselves for future employees. Though what we have now is standard, we have a new HR team coming on board with all new benefits starting in January of 2023 that is a vast improvement on what we are able to offer currently. We cannot wait to roll this out. The limited office space is an ongoing struggle and a function of growth and in some cases planning on our part that we can certainly do better. Again, thank you for your thoughts. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
