Pros

A few but nothing exciting to share. Tradin is subpar to the rest of the divisions. Dutch managers don't blend well with American culture.

Cons

Toxic management from head to toe including HR team. They scratch each others backs but don't care about the company. I've never seen anything like it. It's a shame investors are barely aware of how bad management team is.

Toxic Environment - Getting Worse

Pros

The pay and benefits for this company were pretty standard. There were some great employees. Occasional team outings were a nice attempt at team building.

Cons

This branch of the company has some severe core issues that have only grown worse in the past months/years. For one, the culture has transitioned in a major way from a productive but somewhat fun and flexible place into a rigid, micro managed environment. Breaks are practically timed and 10 hour + days (in addition to work on nights and weekends) are standard. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is extreme nepotism, bullying, and harassment brought on by any suggestions of change or improvement. Unfortunately, HR (off site) turns a blind eye to these issues because of the revenue generated by inept middle managers. They (managers) ask for suggestions regarding the business and team dynamic but are much to prideful to receive any feedback. This model of management is apparently a result of the "Dutch" culture (where Tradin was acquired). It is difficult to maintain a positive attitude and heavy workload when you are unappreciated, overworked, and micro managed. The workload is heavy and continues only to be more so due to consistent high employee turnover. Employees are leaving in droves as this environment gets progressively worse. Moving up in this company is not really an option unless you give up everything aside from it. Even then, be prepared for "meetings" and corrective emails for everything from taking a "long" break to not responding quickly enough to an email (~5 minutes from receipt). From management, there is no sense of balance between work and anything else in life and it is implied that all employees should have this model.

Pros

This is a great company to work for if you're looking for a career. It's a growing industry with lots of opportunity for those willing to work for it. You gain exposure to the organic industry and the different facets of business - market trends and fluctuations, inventory management, sales, purchasing, import regulations, quality, R&D, etc. It's a fun, fast-paced, dynamic work environment, with an entrepreneurial spirit. The people here are great and you build camaraderie with co-workers. It's challenging work with an emphasis on learning and developing different skill sets. There's a small kitchen with coffee and organic snacks provided by the company.

Cons

Keeping up with the pace of growth can be challenging. Priorities will get re-organized due to new projects or set backs. There are not enough employees to keep up with the pace of growth or the workload that accompanies it.
