Good environment, still trying to "tweak" certain areas

Good benefits, easy to use PTO. Friendly co-workers, willing to help when needed.

Cons

Management does not always listen to staff, the ones that are doing the work. Therefore, things that need to be fixed and could be fixed easily continue to be more difficult than necessary.

Little Opportunities for Advancement

It's a decent place to work when you work for the right department. Generous vacation time.

Cons

I was at the company for a year. Though it is taught during orientation that there are many opportunities for growth and advancement, this is not true if you are not a nurse. There are few opportunities that open up that don't require you to be a RN and those that do can easily be filled by friends of directors and executives. The company lacks diversity in leadership. The managers, directors, and vice presidents do not consist of any minorities.

Good benefits if you are able to use them for time off. Nice people to work with for the most part.

Cons

Horrible, toxic work environment, favoritism. People in positions they are not qualified for or experienced. Punitive, very poor upper management at SHP. Big turnover, workers not happy here. Let good people go and keep poor employees- makes no sense. Not focused on what they are supposed to be doing-taking care of medicaid members. Atmosphere not good for work environment, most staff looking for other employment. No work life balance at all.
