I've worked for 3 other solar companies in my career on both the east and west coasts, Sunny Energy is the example of how a solar company should be operated. In a new industry like solar, so many charlatans flood in to make a quick buck, lying to customers, giving bad info, and operating with a get rich quick mindset. Sunny Energy is the opposite of that, they operate with the highest level of integrity and bend over backwards to make sure the customer is taken care of. The typical high pressure sales manager schtick is absent at Sunny, giving the sales team the space to present solar in an honest manner and allowing us to truly serve the customer, not just "say anything" to get a contract signed, like so many other companies do.
Cons
Solar is a new and rapidly growing industry and we've barely scratched the surface of deploying clean energy solutions. If there's a downside to Sunny Energy's, it's that we're so focused on the residential solar market that we don't have the ability to take on new opportunities in the clean energy space. Leadership recognizes that the future of solar is more involved than just panels on the roof and I trust that we'll grow to have the capacity to enter other aspects of the clean energy industry.
