Pros

Young staff and remote / hybrid options. Decent work life balance (does swing drastically). Overall friendly staff and company is continually growing.

Cons

Benefits are subpar compared to competitors. Pay is below market value/compared to competitors. Young staff - this includes management whom often this is their first job or have limited experience working prior to joining.

Pros

Colleagues are top notch and are motivated by social justice. Great mission. Growth opportunities available if you work hard. Employees are given a lot of freedom and responsibility.

Cons

Associates get overwhelming workloads and expectations are unrealistic. Employees are expected to dive in without much direction. Easy to burnout. Pay is low considering amount of work. Company is young and some facets have not kept up with growth.

Pros

Amazing co-workers, very smart and kind people. Good way to enter the solar industry and get experience.

Cons

Entry level associates are thrown into work that they are not prepared or trained for, and more experienced associates keep leaving for other companies so there is little training or guidance. When people ask for help or let managers know that they are overwhelmed, they are not given support and are shamed for asking for help. Management seems to be in denial of these issues despite a continuing mass exodus of employees (especially women/POC). Sunwealth markets itself as a social justice oriented company, but they underpay employees (and expect them to live in NYC/Boston), give them more work then they can reasonably handle (lots of people working 60+ hours/week), and then get upset when things fall through the cracks.
