Pros
- it looks good on your resume - there are some very intriguing design challenges to solve. If given the backing, a good enough designer can make the shopping experience enormously better than it is right now.
Cons
- no benefits whatsoever (not even a performance bonus) - toxic work environment creating specifically by top management - no clear career progression - don’t expect a people-first organisation (there’s so much churn in the HR department that no one is ever there long enough to know what’s happening with the actual employees) - if you’re not a white man and you care about equality and diversity, this place will suffocate you. Don’t do that to yourself.
