Pros

You learn basic sales techniques. The CEO is very energetic and has a good understanding of sales techniques, but falls very short of leadership ability.

Cons

Say good bye to your schedule (six days a week) and respect! You are made fun of by leadership and coworkers for not meeting expectations. Most people at the stores are supremely annoyed by you saying, "Hey, how are you doing, I got a quick question for you." They want nothing to do with you. Moreover, most people now are moving away from Comcast, DirecTV, and DishNetwork because they keep raising prices out of control. The company makes you work longer hours than 40 per week, but only pay you for 39.5. The CEO and leadership want you to stay after and see each of you individually before you are allowed to go. Sometimes it could take an hour (or more) after you were supposed to be off shift. Moreover, you're not getting paid to stay. Additionally, your leaders will want you to come in early to go over training that you're not getting paid for. The company wants you to stand inside of a store (Sam's Club, Menards, and Best Buy) and talk to as many people as you can to try to pitch them DirecTV. They expect you to sell at least 4 subscriptions per week to keep your job. If you do not do that, you're on the firing line. When quotas are not met, the leaders are pushy to try to get you to work on your day off to get a sale (however you are not authorized to tell anyone that you worked since you are neither not supposed to be there nor are you going to be paid). Lastly, you do not get benefits with this position.
