Leadership is toxic. There has been massive turnover over the last couple of years, and work just gets redistributed to remaining employees. De-scoping does not exist at this organization, and leadership does not respect feedback from employees who express they feel overworked. Psychological safety is disregarded and verbal abuse is common. The organization continues to take on new projects and grants that they don't have the staff to support. Avoid at all costs. I actually left because I started having suicidal thoughts and became incredibly depressed due to the terrible mistreatment of employees by leadership, yelling, and bullying (you know who you two are). I was so burned out after I left Surgo that I needed to take leave a few weeks into my next job. I've been in therapy ever since.
