Pros

There might be 1 or 2 but the amount of negatives add up so much that thinking of any Pro is totally not possible

Cons

Hope this helps few of you to see the actual truth about the organisation Sutra HR and the man running the organisation so that you can take a wise step that might save some of yours' professional career, especially the ones who are new to the organisation or planning to join. Last year I got the opportunity to work with the prestigious organization Sutra HR wher the role of top level management and especially the ones running the organisation is only to find means as to how to deduct money from the employees as that is the easiest way for them to make money, whereas a dignified businessman would rather focus on upscaling their business and yield better profits but if someone has the basic nature to cheat and a hunger so immense for money then cheating your own employees also stops affecting. This is an appreciation to all the harassment I’ve gone through working with this organization, which is doing well in all aspects but has no intent to release their employee’s salaries on time (even a month old employee won't deny this fact). The only intent of the owner was to cheat and find reasons to delay/stop employee’s/vendor’s payments. While I was working there, umpteen events happened which reflected highly unprofessional and unethical behavior. Some of his visible traits are self-obsession, no business sense, blabber mouth and no mettle and the list is never ending. Penalizing employees by deducting their salaries or delaying them for no reason, setting unrealistic targets in order to penalize employees against their salaries. The organisation claiming itself to be the Asia's biggest staffing firm, whereas it should be Asia's biggest CHEAT staffing firm as the organisation is build on lies and false commitments and the series of lies starts with the offer letter itself where a lucrative incentive structure would be mentioned but trust me that incentives are something which will be never paid even despite of achievement of targets as for that their will always be a cash flow issue with the Asia's leading staffing agency. But as employees you also need to understand if our salaries and incentives are paid then how will the very celebrated CEO be able to fulfill his own desires and greed after all that is his earnings and the way of making money because for someone with such a low business acumen is bound to suffer loss and blaming others for it is the easiest thing. To make money some people choose to work hard and some choose the path of cheat and at Sutra the people who are actually making money are only capable of doing so by not paying salaries/incentives to his own employees and the one calling himself the boss is such a despicable man who even has the audacity of not replying to mails or answering calls of his own employee for over a month just so that he doesn't have to pay them. But life is extremely rosy for this man! International trips on the hard work of employees, spending lakhs of cash on the trip but no money to release pending payments of the employees! This man seriously deserves applause. The harassment wont end even with the exit from the company as post exit comes the FnF which again requires the organisation to shell out money and BOSS!! Getting money from the likes of running the company you totally need to forget your dignity. It’s been ages I have been constantly following up for my F&F but my efforts are in vain. And I very painfully write this to put across my grievance. I’ve been communicated to sign a bond to get my F&F of supplementary agreement restricting me to work in a competition company and cannot start business in the same field. And this is not it! I have exchanged 7-8 mails already and a constant reply is that I should sign the bond to claim my own hard earned money. Also, an important violation of the law that this organization performs is that Provident Fund component is forgone in the salary structure. The time when i joined the organisation quite a lot of people told me what I am trying to communicate through this letter but i made the mistake of not listening to them and realized the cheapness of the man when it felt upon me, i hope no more young hard working people end up falling for the cheap Sutra trap. I am sure that this review would also be used by the same person to target someone from within the organisation, most likely the ones whose dues are to be cleared but due to this review he will try to make a point of not clearing them by putting false blames and might act really upset about it but in reality he would be totally indifferent to it as this is not something that would be unexpected by a man who has cheated on almost every person joining the organisation. Lastly, Sutra HR where PEOPLE MATTER…or is it just one PERSON that matters, rest I leave on to all of you to decide!

Pros

Introduction to startup and entrepreneurs directly in person. Nothing else is a pro other than that in this company.

Cons

1. Ironic that their HR Team is very manipulative and gas-lights employees. Says one thing and does the another! Lies, Lies and all lies. 2. Senior internal HR Team members say one thing in first meeting and then turn against you in the other meeting with management. They incite the CEO against you behind your back and vice versa, especially in review meetings. 3. Fake advertising. Company advertise flexible timings for employees. But actually these timings are flexible (stretch) timing for the employer. 4.HR team does not take feedback seriously. They force you to write emails about complaints for issues related to internet or computers and then only resolve it. How dumb is that. 5. Infrastructure is really bad and really dirty. Computers are very slow. Favortism is shown while giving good computers as some favoured teams (tech recruitment) are given Apple laptops. 5.The internal HR team has started a 5x rule saying that it is needed for better infrastructure and salary payment. But there is no better infrastructure. 6. The CEO indulges in gossiping about certain employees with other huhhak gang team members (sr sourcing team, marketing team, sr tech recruitment team) with whom he hangs out in the evening and weekends. 7. Salary is not paid on time. Certain favourite people get salary early while others get it after 10th!

Pros

You get introduced to the budding startup industry in India and learn how things are changing in this space and how to manage their staffing requirements.

Cons

1. Lofty promises to the client and the staff, which they dont deliver upon. 2. Whimsical management, no transparency. 3. The whole leadership team lives in a fairy tale world of their own.

Hi, thanks for taking out time and sharing your views. Would like to clarify the points you have brought up. 1) These are clearly allegations without any proof or base. Would have been good if you would have come up and been a bit more clear on the ‘lofty promises’. As like many in the service industry, we only live by ‘underpromise and overdeliver’, both when it comes to our clients as well as our people. 2) We are very open as an organization when it comes to hierarchy and flow of information. We share information with people on a need-to-know basis. And this alone brings a lot of order to the chaos that can arise in any situation with free flow of information. Besides, you are free to reach out to the CEO directly for any matter that you think needs to be escalated. 3) You know when someone makes a sweeping comment like that, it’s a little heartbreaking. Because we, yes the top management and the leadership team, work our days and nights off and that’s why we have been able to make a name for ourselves in the Indian startup circle. As much as we all would love to call it a day and party and live in a fairytale world that you accused us of, we really work hard so that Sutra is where it is right now. 4) We always check with people at the time of hiring for their choice of domain and location so there is benefit for both of us and not just our interest is met. If there ever was such a case with you, you should have spoken up and if it had gone unaddressed, then writing about it here would have made a lot of sense. Best Regards, Waqar Azmi CEO & Founder
