Pros
I think there are truly some very smart, talented people at SR. But I think they are wasting their talents here.
Cons
- Omaha leadership does not have actual leadership abilities, they've just stuck around longer than other people. - I had repeated issues with a coworker. Frankly, it was borderline bullying, and I know the difference between this and healthy workplace conflict because I've experienced the later at other jobs. Nothing compared to this. Leadership did not care to help resolve it. - Clients are at best boring, at worst unethical (but they know this) - Salary was subpar compared to the big budgets for client accounts. Where is that money going? When it came time for my annual review, my boss said he could maybe get me a 2% raise. A raise wasn't even guaranteed, and with inflation, no raise means making less money each year. - Before 2020, agency-wide leadership said they would never let employees work remotely. This is only now an option because it was forced by a pandemic. Very old ways of thinking about workplace culture. - The Omaha office is incredibly out of the way on 144th and Dodge. Any employee who does not live near this area will have to eat lunch at the office because it's not enough time to get home and back. - Diversity is lacking, and being based in Nebraska isn't an excuse.
