Pros

You get a paycheck every other week.

Cons

Where do I start, -Turn over here is very high because of the atmosphere. You will see how unwelcoming the environment is with the unrealistic deadlines and how things are a little TOO strict, you can't even go to the restroom without a manager thinking you are slacking off. Most of the employees look very stressed out and unhappy most of the time because of fear. Things are just TOO fast and there's too many things are happening at once. -There's a very old and outdated system being run in the company when it comes to policies, but most of the people that are in management and running the company are old or from the boomer generation. Can be very frustrating for younger people. -Raises are nonexistent even when you are willing to volunteer to help do extra work, yet management expects you to do extra work out of your job description. - Favoritism exists amongst certain department managers and it is very obvious towards everyone. They think we don't notice, but we do. -Your workload and stress levels do not match your salary. This company severely underpays their employees and expect you to do 100k+ a year work. All positions here pay under the national average. They only care about deadlines and deliverables before people. -There is a big lack proper training with both managers and employees which causes extra work for others. -The HR dept. really only exists to cover the company and not the employees. -HR doesn't really do anything with concerns or complaints. Their answer to everything is pretty much "Tough luck deal with it". But when it comes to hiring, laying someone off or firing someone oh yeah they are on top of it. -Communication between departments is terrible. Rules change constantly without you knowing till your manager tells you you’re doing something wrong. -It’s a “throw you under the bus” culture. Finger pointing is prevalent from upper management all the way to workers. Every single department manager is guilty of this and don't admit fault when they mess up even with evidence.

Pros

Team dynamic in the Marketing Department. Full benefits Free pizza/food/snacks- Department only

Cons

The company runs like an Anarchy and Upper Management does not let you think otherwise. There are major control issues between all the executives and abuse of power. Departments are dysfunctional and in desperate need of help, rendering the business handicapped. Company lacks communication and leadership. CEO is switched back to Jim Hagan who does not see fault in how he runs the business or the teams he oversees. You are overworked, underpaid, and under appreciated. Company does not believe in valuing their employees. Raises haven't been given in years and there is no room for growth. Position "requires" you to work both Saturdays and Sundays, 8 hours +, for a span of at least a month to finish designing the yearly Catalog, which would not happen, if said leadership existed. If you do not work over the weekend, it is look down upon. Normal business days Mon-Fri, during this time, are 10 hours+. You are put under enormous amounts of pressure and these sacrifices are simply not equivalent to what they pay you, even with all the overtime pay. They give you a pat on the back and thats about it. Once they sense that you are not conforming to their liking, they have no issue with letting you go. These abnormal work habits are not mentioned during the interview process either. Position are often filled with unqualified people who somehow get hired on, the overflow of their work piles onto the graphic designers. who seem to be the ones picking up the pace most of the time. HR clearly is not working towards the betterment of the company and needs an attitude adjustment. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else more worthy.

Pros

Employees are nice people and good to work with. Most genuinely want to do a good job.

Cons

Employees are not empowered to do their jobs. Promotions are arbitrary and not based on performance, mainly on nepotism and when people management feels are "key people", threaten to leave. Many are unhappy but too afraid to voice opinions because management has created this atmosphere. Employees are pitted against each other by management.
