A lot of your experience depends on your direct supervisor and/or PX. If they don’t go to bat for you don’t expect progression. There is definitely an “in” group. If you are a part of it you're definitely be on the fast track for progression in your career. And if your wondering “am I in the in group” your probably not. In speaking with some of the veteran members, it’s sad to here a senior team members say “this place is definitely cliquey and I get left out”. The favoritism is EXTREMLY obvious but no one speaks up.

Main management team in Hawaii has unethical relationships and advantages given to favored employees and within management. Management is involved with other workers and favors are given from that. If you want to complain, even who you would think you would go to is the worst of the bunch. She gives favors to young attractive employees and has questionable relationships with other SB managers. You have to be careful what’s said and keep your issues to yourself. Most of the supers and white collar staff know what’s going on and feel it’s part of the business, but it’s not right.
