Frankly, the work is dangerous. We sell cigars that are used for alternative purposes and so they sell really well in dangerous neighborhoods. My vehicle was broken into several times. I was threatened almost on a daily basis and what micromanaged considerably even though I was always one of the top sales persons in my region. You constantly have to look over your shoulder while carrying loads of cash and desirable inventory, yet the company doesn't let you carry a weapon to protect yourself. Sure, they'll give you a 5% raise every year, but I didn't feel safe enough to stick it out. My health and safety are more important then a long-term position with this company. The Regions don't make any sense. Some person from another part of the city will be covering the area that you live in and you'll be covering some other area that two people live in. It doesn't make any sense. They strongly push a diversity narrative, even though it's a very diverse company. Meanwhile, they carry products that are a detriment to the low-income communities that you serve. It's the ultimate hypocrisy. When they hire you, they say that you just need to work 8 hours a day. But then they tell you they want those hours to be something like 9 p.m. to 6 p.m. If you have a child, then this job is not going to work for you because your area is not going to be anywhere near where you live. You may get off work at 2, but it might take you one and a half hours to get back home from your territory
