Pros

I found no pros. Sorry! Is there any way that I can lower my rate? Let say 0.1 star!!! You may like their dog if you love dog.

Cons

Bad management, rude behavior, bossy. Devs often given tasks by 5:00pm by the general manager, saying I need this tomorrow morning. I am serious!!! Their dog is not my problem, i love dog. Her boss however behaves much much worse. Discussed with others developers on how they fell and I found that I was the only senior dev there. 5 out of 6 devs started at company as the first job. They told me they though every company here is the same. It was my mistake to tell them how they should do, I was fired not long after that. The reason they gave was "not suitable for this environment". I was willing to leave without hesitating. I was so happy after leaving the job. Thank to them, my next company was a dream job!!!

I am sorry your short time at switched-on was not a happy one. Some times people and companies are just not a good fit, and we try to learn from our mistakes. Let me respond to your review. We have a mix of senior, mid weight and junior developers, this is normal. If you were with us in 2017, I am sure your team leaders - who have been with us for more than 7 and 9 years respectively - would be a bit taken aback by the claim that you were the only senior. It is clear from your review that you are angry at being let go; clearly you were unhappy so it is a good thing you left and found your dream job. Since 2017 we have taken on an entirely new recruiting and onboarding process which takes into account cultural and social differences as well as a range of qualitative and quantitive measure for determining if we can serve our candidates and their suitability to our environment. Our job ads and recruitment process would have informed you that we allow dogs in the office. Please feel free to email me about your grievances with the CEO and your other claims via our website.switched-on group does not lie to clients and our software is a critical factor to our clients success. Again, I am glad you found your dream job. Best of luck!

Pros

Learnt about time management and multitasking - due to such a busy environment.

Cons

Management is shocking. Over promise and under deliver. So much overtime, unpaid! Rudely spoken to by management. No assistance or training when required. High staff turnover. Stressful environment. Left company due to being so unhappy and stressed. This place really effects your emotional state!

Pros

Absolutely nothing - other than a pay check every month. Even then it's still hard to motivate yourself to do something

Cons

Ohh where do i start Zero management skills. Zero communication skills. Absolutely no idea about software. development. The place is full of distractions. For example their dogs are in the office barking every second. (Good somedays) Over promise, under deliver in every single case for every single client. Very unhealthy working environment, people are not productive and literally have no idea what they are doing. Progression? Personal development? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Training and development... Whats that.... ? We got no training tips on how to improve. Every time they scheduled one in, it'llget pushed back and to be honest never get done. Even if they did run a training program. They had no idea how to explain it. It being the system. Absolutely clueless. Take a good look at yourselfs. This place is a joke.

I am sorry your short time at switched-on was not a happy one. Some times people and companies are just not a good fit, and we try to learn from our mistakes. I am sorry you did not feel able to raise your concerns or unhappiness with your team leaders or upper management. Being anonymous and not listing your role makes it hard to know where to start but you do mention software development so I guess you worked in the Dev team. With regard to your claim that switched-on has no idea about software development, you might be surprised to learn we were shortlisted by the AFR as one of Australia's most innovative companies this year! Thanks again for taking the time to write a review, I wish you a successful career and thank you for your contribution.
