Access to d-list celebs, opportunities to be part of minor events, and if you're lucky, comiccon. also the opportunity to pick up lots of useless corporate jargon and attitude from egomaniacal execs who have become socially maladjusted from lack of work-life balance.
Cons
Everything is a crisis. Everything is make-do. Everything is pitch-in-for-the-team-at-the-expense-of-your-personal-life. If you don't have a life of your own, Syfy will give you one-- and then slowly starve it.
Upper management was willing to hear ideas and opinions from non-management employees. There was a fair amount of freedom with how to shape your role and get your job done. Also, they were fairly openly to new ideas to help the organization.
Cons
Glass ceiling for sure. Saw a lot of latent sexism that refused to be addressed by the then-President (I think he's gone now). I also left during a transition so I don't know about the current management at all.
