I agree with you 100% that gossiping is a bad habit. I support the following scenario: it is normal to have some negative feedback about some behavior of your colleague or boss time to time, but we should always tell that information directly to that related person, not to other colleagues (in a constructive and helpful form as we want a positive change, after all). What can I do as a manager? I should show good example of such brave behavior myself (I am not ideal).
